Katy Perry looked gorgeous as usual last night at the American Music Awards. She was wearing a Japanese kimono… No; wait, it was more like a Chinese cheongsam… But the flowers are Japanese… I’m confused… So were Japanese and Chinese all over the world… This is what she wore…

Many people were offended by Perry’s outfit choice. Some of them simply because of the display of cultural ignorance… Apparently, Kimonos don't have exposed chests or legs, and it’s almost impossible to dance on them. The collar and the fit were Chinese. But the print, the sleeves, the bow, and the hair accessories were Japanese-ish.

Others didn't like that Perry, who is not Asian, was dressed in what looked like Asian attire. And felt it was just racist for her to do so…
