GOOD NEWS STORY: 1 Kid Changing Lives With Bagged Lunches

in #CASE you missed it…This Kid’s Changing Lives With Bagged Lunches

10 year-old passes out dozens of bagged lunches to homeless people in his community.

At 10, Liam Hannon is already making a difference in his community. Through his Liam’s Lunches of Love project, he makes brown paper bags lunches for people who are experiencing homelessness in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

He passes out 50 or 60 of the lunch sacks a week, which usually include a sandwich, fruit, a snack, and water. Liam got the idea for the lunch program from a summer reading program and an educational website and he says it makes him feel proud to be doing something good for the world.

“Whenever I see them, they seem like they’re sort of sad or depressed,” Liam says of the homeless folks he brings food to. “But then when we go over to them, they sort of light up and become more open.”
