A new study says insects are good for you, when you eat them. About two-billion people around the world already know that and bugs are a regular part of their diet. But eating insects is a tough sell in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Now, researchers at Rutgers University have found there are about 19-hundred insect species that are edible and highly nutritious.

The scientists say insects contain healthy fats, protein, fiber, vitamins, and essential minerals. If you worry about the shell on the bugs, we have an enzyme that breaks them down.

The study was published in a recent edition of the journal "Molecular Biology and Evolution."
