Kim and her son Milo went out for a little mommy/son date. However, there was a man and his family who weren't so happy with that idea. Milo has special needs. As soon as the man saw Kim and Milo sit next to them, he got his family up and moved them across the restaurant.
A server, Michael, noticed the switch and overheard the man say, "Special-needs children need to be special somewhere else."
It's the kind of statement that would make most people upset. Michael knew he had to do something about it, so he refused to serve the family.
"It was very disturbing. My personal feelings just took over and I told this man, 'I'm sorry, I can't serve you.'"
The family couldn't believe Michael wouldn't serve them, but he was praised by customers and managers of the restaurant.
