NECCO Candy Factory Unexpectedly Closes After 117 Years In Business

posted by Pedro Bartes -

Oh no! This is sad news... These were my favorite candies... The company announced today it is selling everything off to another company, but it has immediately shut the doors to their operation in Massachusetts.

The company makes Clark Bars (omgoodness), Necco wafers, conversation hearts, Candy Buttons and Mary Janes. News is more than 200 people are out of work and got their last check last week. Sounds like a trip to Mast General Store needs to happen before they run out! It seems to be a sad ending to a favorite candy company in the United States. If you love any of these candies, you may want to stock up now.
