President Trump is threatening to send the military to close the southern border. In a series of tweets. He pointed to a caravan of migrants trying to make their way to the U.S. from Central America, said to number in the thousands.
Trump said that many of them are criminals and that their leaders are doing little to stop them. That’s surely why he’s renewed the threat he made a day earlier to stop all payments to Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, including humanitarian aid, if their governments “allow their citizens, or others, to journey through their borders and up to the United States.”
The President said he'd asked Mexico to stop them and that keeping criminals and drugs from getting into the country is more important to him than the recent trade deal signed with Mexico.
