in #CASE you missed it… Jon BonJovi and the Star Wars Xmas Song
A long time ago in a galaxy far far away…. Well really it was in New Jersey area and New York around 1980 but whatever.
Back then Jon was an upcoming musician trying to make a name and looking for a break. Any break.
The story goes something like this…. Tony Bongiovi and Meco were looking to continue the success they had with the disco version of the 'Star Wars' theme. Then when Empire Strikes Back came out they hit up George Lucas and got the rights and ok to do a Star Wars Christmas album.
So Jon’s cousin Tony doing what he could to help hired Jon to sing on the album. The song 'R2-D2, We Wish You a Merry Christmas' and featured Bon Jovi with a chorus of kids singing to the droid.
Check it out... looks like the force was with him for sure!
