Trump hits back at Pelosi's State of the Union snub

President Trump cancelled Speaker Nancy Pelosi's government-funded trip abroad on Thursday. This was clearly in response to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's request to postpone the State of the Union. Pelosi asked Trump to postpone the State of the Union until after the shutdown.  Trump clapped back by saying her trip to Brussels, Egypt and Afghanistan is being delayed in light of the shutdown.  He noted that his administration will "reschedule this seven-day excursion when the shutdown is over."  Trump also called the overseas trek a "public relations event."  He also suggested that Pelosi could fly commercial.

Of course Democrats were furious, and called this petty politics. but do you think the president did the right thing here?
