Pelosi: State Of The Union ‘Is Not Planned Now’

On Friday, President Trump announced that he is opening the Government for 3 weeks to open negotiations to get funding for his wall. Everybody assumed that after that he was going to be able to give his State of the Union address. As we told you before, Pelosi asked Mr. Trump to postpone the big speech until after the partial government shutdown is over. Trump supporters expected to hear the president on Tuesday but that's not likely to happen.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Friday that the State of the Union address would likely not take place on Tuesday, adding that it was “not planned.”

“What I’d said to the President was when the government is opened we would discuss a mutually agreeable date and I look forward to doing that and welcoming the President to the House of Representatives for the State of the Union when we agree on that mutually agreeable date.”

Should the president give the State of the Union Tuesday now that the he opened the Government for 3 weeks?
