CA Doctor Busted For Prescribing Marijuana For Four-Year-Old

A California doctor has lost his medical license after prescribing that a four-year-old eat cannabis cookies to control his temper tantrums. California's medical board has reportedly revoked the medical license of Dr. William Eidelman of Hollywood on January 4th. He's apparently gotten a reprieve until March, pending a review.

Here’s what’s interesting, the medical board determined that Eidelman did say that "grossly negligent" for saying the boy likely had a combination of ADD/ADHD and bipolar disorder after one 30-minute appointment.

And that’s what they’re upset about – not that he prescribed pot cookies (which dad says, worked, by the way), but that he gave an improper diagnosis and should have consulted a psychiatrist.

  • How he get caught? According to reports, the child’s father had asked the school nurse to give the boy the cookies at lunch – to keep him behaving. She alerted child protective services and law enforcement.
