Drunk Driver Tries to Cover the Smell of Booze With Axe Body in His Mouth

A 49-year-old guy named Efren Mencia-Ramirez was pulled over in Spartanburg, South Carolina on Saturday when a cop saw him speeding and swerving.

And as the cop approached the car, he noticed Efren was frantically spraying something in his mouth.

It turned out it was AXE BODY SPRAY . . . and Efren's plan was to spray a bunch of it in his mouth to cover up the smell of the booze he'd been drinking.

But there were some big problems with that plan. One, the cop SAW Efren using the spray. Two, there were empty Corona cans all over the car. And three, Axe Body Spray DOESN'T cover up the smell of alcohol on your breath. (In fact, one of the ingredients in Axe is stearyl alcohol.)

Efren was arrested for drunk driving, driving without a license, driving without insurance, and carrying an open container.
