AMBER Alert Issued For Missing Five-Year-Old Girl

Police in Texas have declared an AMBER Alert for five-year-old Maleah Davis in the Sugar Land area. Houston Police say she was last seen wearing a pink bow in her hair, a light blue zip jacket, blue jeans and a gray, white, and pink sneakers.

According to Sergeant Mark Holbrook, Maleah, stepfather Darion Vence and two-year-old brother were headed to George Bush Intercontinental Airport to pick up the children's mother on Friday when their 2011 silver Nissan Altima had tire trouble.

While the stepfather was checking on it, three Hispanic men in a blue pickup truck allegedly approached him and knocked him unconscious. When he woke up he was in the truck with the two children and three men. Shortly after, the Vence and the boy were reportedly dumped in Sugar Land on Saturday afternoon. They walked to a nearby hospital where the stepfather was treated for facial injuries and reported Maleah missing.

  • Detectives are asking for anybody who may have seen something suspicious, including the blue pickup truck or missing silver Nissan Altima to contact them.
  • Police note Maleah has had multiple brain surgeries as early as March.
  • Maleah’s biological father who lives in Houston has been contacted by police and is cooperating.
