We all know kids get distracted when they have their smart phones with them. We have seen them, they are constantly immersed in their own world, forgetting about socializing or even paying attention to anything around them. Well, a school is trying a new experiment. At Mariner High School in the Mukilteo School District, in Washington State, phones are not to be seen for the seven hours students are on campus.
Students are punished if their seen using their smart phones on campus. For the first offense, the phone is confiscated until the end of the day. On the second, a parent has to pick it up.The third time around, the student serves an in-school suspension. And it is working, the principal said he has only handed 3 suspensions so far since they installed this strict policy. So what do you think? Should more schools ban cell phones?
