Students who owe lunch money to get only cold sandwiches

No, sorry, but this is not my America. Kids are the future of our country and nutrition is crucial for them to perform better. A Rhode Island school district will begin serving cold sandwiches instead of hot lunches to students whose families owe lunch money. The Warwick Public school is owed more than $40,000 and they say that's too much money and they can't absorb the cost anymore.

Warwick Public Schools says it is owed more than $40,000 from outstanding lunch payments and cannot afford to absorb the costs. Monday is the day they will start with this new policy that has many parents upset.

"If money is owed on a paid, free, or reduced lunch account a sun butter and jelly sandwich will be given as the lunch choice until the balance owed is paid in full or a payment plan is set up,"the post reads. on the school's facebook site. So, do you think it is ok to punish the poor kids? By the way, a local restaurant said they offered $4000 worth of food but the school didn't contact hem back....
