Lawmakers in Mississippi are calling on Republican state Rep.Doug McLeodto resign if allegations that he punched his wife in the face are true. McLeod was arrested and charged with one misdemeanor charge of domestic violence after he allegedly hit his wife because he wanted to have sex and felt that she was taking too long to undress. When police officers arrived to the house of the representative for Lucedale, he was intoxicated, slurring his speech and stumbling around the house. His wife and another woman were also in the house frightened and shaky. He told officers he snapped and that's why he punched his wife in her nose and made her bleed.
Other Republicans in Mississippi are asking for his resignation....
