A Louisiana woman has died after returning from her honeymoon in the Dominican Republic.
Susan Simoneaux and her new husband went to Punta Cana last month to celebrate their recent marriage and less than a week after returning, she was rushed to the hospital. The newlywed had fluid in her lungs and then passed away. Her husband Keith Williams, who was with her for 10 years before they wed, said he wouldn’t have taken her on the trip had he known about the recent deaths and illnesses of tourists in the Dominican Republic.
An autopsy is now planned to determine Simoneaux’s cause of death and if it’s related to her trip. She is the 10th known American tourist to die after a trip to the popular vacation spot.
The FBI is continuing its investigation. On the other hand, prices to visit resorts in the Dominican Republican are dropping fast.. But would you still go?
