Bernie Sanders Reduces Staff Hours To Make $15 Per Hour Rate

Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders Delivers Address On Medicare For All

A pay war within the Bernie Sanders campaign has resulted in less hours for workers.

In case you didn’t know, much of his staff is unionized and have been lobbying to get a pay raise. Field workers make a salary of 36-thousand dollars a year, but work 60 hours. That makes their hourly rate $13. That’s not acceptable, so there’s been a compromise.

The workers’ hours will be limited so the rate is at $15. The Sanders 2020 campaign was the first to unionize and the contract that was negotiated includes platinum level health care, paid vacation, sick leave and other benefits.

Much of the argument by the workers in the wage war was made using Sanders’ own words about his views on minimum wages.
