A Man Denied His Passport Because Of His ‘Vulgar’ Last Name

A man who changed his name for a laugh may no longer be able to travel overseas again after he was denied a passport because his new surname is ‘too offensive’.

Three years ago, Kenny Kennard changed his surname to ‘Fu-Kennard’ as a joke, but it appears the joke has backfired.

While he had no trouble getting a drivers license under his new name, he is unable to obtain a passport, with the UK’s Home Office telling the supermarket worker that his surname was simply too “offensive”. He claims they are restricting his freedom and is not planning to change his name again.
