Mitch McConnell’s Campaign Twitter Page Is Suspended

Senate Judiciary Committee Holds Nomination Hearing For Kenneth Charles Canterbury Jr. To Be Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Director

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's campaign Twitter account is being suspended due to a profanity laced video.

Officials said Twitter took the action after the campaign posted video of protesters outside of McConnell's Kentucky home shouting profanities. A campaign spokesperson blasted Twitter, saying they will allow the hashtag 'MassacreMoscowMitch'to trend nationally, but won't let the campaign show the real threats being made against the Republican.

The video shows Black Lives Matter Louisville leader Chanelle Helm saying the GOP leader "should have broken his little raggedy, wrinkled-(expletive) neck.” She then says he should be stabbed in the heart after a man makes reference to a voodoo doll.

Protesters were upset McConnell has refused to consider two House bills that would expand universal background checks for gun purchases. The campaign said they appealed to Twitter, but the company said it would remain suspended until they deleted the video.
