Eddie Murphy Plans To Return To Stand-Up

We were hoping this news would be coming now that one of comedy’s icons is coming back with a vengeance.

Eddie Murphy is confirming a return to stand-up comedy. YES! The “Coming 2 America” and former “SNL” star confirmed the news on an episode of a Netflix podcast called, “Present Company with Krista Smith.” Around 25-minutes into the show he said he's going on the road to do some stand-up in 2020.

It seems to confirm what he said when “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” host Jerry Seinfeld said "You know that you're not doing stand-up drives everybody crazy, right?" Murphy replied, "I'm going to do it again. Everything has to be just right. You have to get up there and start working out."

Murphy's also reportedly in talks with Netflix for a stand-up special, where he'd be paid 70-million-dollars. He already has a working relationship with the streaming giant. “Dolemite Is My Name” is coming to Netflix. Meanwhile, “Coming 2 A
