in #CASE you missed it… Sisters Make History First To Both Become Generals

A pair of sisters are making history by both becoming generals in the Army. Major General Maria Barrett and younger sister Brigadier General Paula Lodi have become what the Army believes to be the first pair of sister generals.

Barrett, a two-star general, is the Commanding General of NETCOM and she was commissioned through the Army ROTC program as a Second Lieutenant in 1988. Her sister, Lodi, was promoted in July and is the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations at the Office of the Surgeon General. To celebrate their historic moment, Barret presented Lodi with her one-star rank insignia as a tribute to the history of women serving in the Army.
