in #CASE you missed it… Tap Water Could Give You Cancer

Tap water could increase the risk of cancer over the course of a lifetime.

A disturbing new study out today from the Environmental Working Group found that there are 22 carcinogens commonly found in tap water, including arsenic, uranium, and radium, that could result in more than 100-thousand cases of cancer. Most of the estimated cancer cases linked to water were due to the naturally occurring arsenic and byproducts of the chemicals used to disinfect the water.

The researchers highly recommend you get a water filter for your home. They say Brita pitcher filters are just fine to use.

This is all despite tap water meeting legal standards. The study is one of the most comprehensive, with more than 48-thousand community water systems being analyzed. The study is published in the journal Heliyon.
