Nobody wants to live in an area that isn’t safe, and when picking a neighborhood, safety is probably one of the most important things on a family's must-have list. Well, it’s no secret that some areas of the country aren’t exactly the safest places to live, and a new report reveals which ones they are, so don’t say we didn’t warn you.
24/7 Wall Street has just come out with their list of the Most Dangerous Cities in America based on FBI violent crime rates for 294 midsize and large cities with populations of at least 100,000 people.
Topping the list as the most dangerous city is Detroit, Michigan, where the violent crime rate in 2018 was 2,007.8 per 100,000 people, with 261 murders committed in the city, as well as a total of about 13.500 violent crimes, most of them aggravated assault.
