Neighbors File Lawsuit Over Family’s Playscape For Terminal Ill Son

Sorry but this is infuriating... Kim Costa of Georgetown, Texas recently shared on Facebook that her neighbors took issue with the playscape she and her husband erected for their son,Colton, who suffers from a terminal illness known as Hurlers Syndrome.

Kim notes the neighbors have complained the large playscape, which consists of some swings, a slide and more, is an “eyesore” and goes against HOA rules. The Costas wanted to put up a privacy fence to hide it from the neighbors, but the HOA wouldn’t allow it. And things eventually escalated, with the neighbors, later identified as Richard and Carole Gottleib, filling a $100,000 lawsuit against the Costas.

The neighbors claim the playscape wasn’t properly reviewed before installation and is too big to be covered because of it, although the Costas insist they submitted documentation clearly stating its size. They want it either permanently removed or altered.
