First impressions are everything when trying to find a job, so it shouldn’t be too shocking to figure out why one couple is having such a tough time finding work.
The couple, 25-year-old Sebastian 'Wolfe' Pickersgill,and his partner Marie 'Wanderlust' Fowler are currently backpacking across Australia and recently took to social media to complain about not being able to find any work,” and folks were quick to point out the obvious reason.
See, the couple has ear spacers, split tongues and facial tattoos, as well as other tats covering their bodies. Fowler, who has five facial piercings, has a variety of tats, including one on her forehead that reads “wanderlust.”
As you can imagine, many folks suggested their look is to blame for their lack of work, with one going so far as to call it “mutilation.”
- 'Jesus, with such a degree of self-mutilation that you both have. You are going to find it hard to find employment,” the person shared. “I'm sorry but that's the truth. Your best bet is looking for work in a factory/packing job or something.”
- Meanwhile, another simply pointed out “'I wonder why,' asked another.”
But there were some folks who had ideas of what they could do for work.
- “Would you consider freelance model? I personally think people in Melbourne would appreciate your style better,' one user said, while another. “
- Another added, "You can totally be models, influencers, YouTube personalities with just the way you look.”
