Baseball Coach Wins Championship Gets Fired For Cursing During Speech

A first-year head coach of a Florida high school baseball team has been fired from his role after a video surfaced showing him give a profanity-filled motivation speech to the team after they won their first state championship in almost three decades.

In June 2019, the Seminole High School players took home the trophy for the first time since 1992 but Principal Jordan Rodriguez removed Coach Kenne Brown earlier this month after the district became aware of cell phone footage showing him swear seven times during a 25 second clip that contained just 42 words.

The Superintendent said he was 'appalled' about the 'abundance of profanity' in the clip. He also was troubled about the coach's reference to his star pitcher,Charlie McDaniel, about having 'type 1 f**king diabetes'.

Brown apologized and alumni and parents have shown support for the coach by starting a petition to reinstate him which has 13,384 signatures of 15,000 needed.
