The Whitney Houston hologram tour launched in England this week and the reaction is definitely mixed.
“An Evening With Whitney: The Whitney Houston Hologram Tour” had its first performance in Sheffield, England Tuesday night, featuring live musicians and dancers, who entertain the audience as her holographic doppelgänger sings and it sounds like fans are less than thrilled.
“Can’t believe I’ve just been to see a hologram of Whitney Houston, what a mind f–k,” one audience member tweeted, while another added, “I had this overwhelming feeling of guilt whilst watching it at times because it’s a very strange thing.”
Meanwhile, a critic from "The Mirror" suggested Whitney was being “exploited” even in death, adding, “as any horror movie fan will tell you, bringing the dead back to life never works out well” noting, “it’s probably best to let sleeping stars lie.”
But not everybody hated it. One person actually tweeted, “WOW… So #AnEveningWithWhitney was incredible!”
