in #CASE you missed it… Teacher Walks Miles Deliver Free School Lunches

With schools closed across the U.K., teachers are going out of their way to make sure students who receive free school lunches still have access to them. Zane Powles is one of them going the extra mile - actually, five miles - every day to deliver the meals to families in need.

The elementary school teacher walks 75 sack lunches to students’ homes every day. It takes him just under two hours to make his rounds, where he knocks at the door, leaves the food and waits at a safe distance until someone picks it up. Powles says he prefers making the trip on foot so he can say hi to students and parents along the way.

“Everyone is doing their bit,” he explains, “and delivering lunches to the most vulnerable is my contribution.”
