A special education teacher in Texas is using his stimulus check to continue helping his students. Ruben Caceres Jr works for the Dallas Independent School district and while he’s working remotely with schools closed, he’s busy at his sewing machine creating masks for his severely disabled and medically fragile students.
Caceres says he misses being in the classroom with the kids and that he wanted to make the masks for them to help protect them. Now he’s planning to use the money he received from the government to buy supplies so he can keep producing the masks for his students
