Seven-Year-Old Boy Saves Drowning Four-Year-Old

De’ Undrick Cormier Jr is only seven, but when he saw a four-year-old at the bottom of a pool, he knew exactly how to rescue him.

A little boy in Lafayette, Louisiana, went to have fun at his cousin’s birthday pool party and ended up saving another child’s life. De’ Undrick Cormier Jr is only seven, but that didn’t stop him from saving a four-year-old family friend from drowning.

De’ Undrick’s grandmother, Nadea Manuel, says he’s a very good swimmer and he had just jumped into the water when he spotted the other boy at the bottom of the pool. The superhero explains that when he saw him, he swam to the bottom and put the four-year-old’s arm around his shoulder and pulled him up. De’ Undrick stayed calm during the incident and the other boy’s lips were blue, but thankfully he was still alert and in good condition.

“I’m happy he is okay,” De’ Undrick says. And for his heroic action, his family rewarded him with a new bicycle.
