Officer Lends Boy A Hand With Lemonade Stand

An Indiana police officer has gone out of his way to help a little boy with his lemonade stand.

An Indiana boy got some help running his lemonade stand from a surprising person - a local cop. Jaelynn Wilson was totally surprised when South Bend Officer Ron Glon showed up and offered to lend a hand with the lemonade, popcorn and sales. And as if that wasn’t enough of a good deed, he pledged to match 100% of the money Jaelynn’s stand made that day.

The interaction means a lot to the 12-year-old and now he says he thinks of Glon as a family member. The officer says his reason for helping Jaelynn goes beyond just being kind.

“His mother is concerned about him not knowing whether or not to trust police officers or not,” Glon explains. “My job is to tell him that he has nothing to worry about. Don’t be fearful, don’t be afraid of us.”
