TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Boy Raises Money For Cop’s Kids

A nine-year-old Charlotte, North Carolina, boy is working to raise money for a police officer’s children who are both battling cancer

A nine-year-old boy is raising money for a police officer’s children who are both battling cancer. Jayden Hooker first met Officer Frunzi when he was giving out free hugs and doughnuts to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. The two have become friends and now the youngster is working to help Frunzi’s sick kids.

Jayden paints rocks and is selling them, then donating the money to help cover the family’s medical expenses. He and his mom have started a GoFundMe campaign for donations and anyone wanting to buy one of Jayden’s rocks. So far, it’s brought in $12-thousand for Bennett and Jackson Frunzi.

“Even though there’s COVID going on, there’s a lot of good going on in the world still,” Jackson says of the support he’s gotten for his fundraiser.
