TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Dog Leads Trash Man To Elderly Owner After Fall

An 88-year-old woman tripped outside her house and couldn’t get up or call for help.

A very good boy saved his owner by getting her help after she fell and couldn’t get up. Kirk White was working his trash collection route in Glendale, California, and pulling in Gwendola Johnson’s garbage cans like he usually does, but he noticed her dog, Sandy, wasn’t in the window watching like normal.

Instead, Sandy was sitting outside and barking at White as he brought the cans to the top of the driveway. Security camera footage from the 88-year-old woman’s home shows Sandy running over to White and barking like she wanted him to follow. He did and Sandy let him right to Gwendola, who had tripped and fallen on her porch and wasn’t able to get up or call for help.

White was a hero that day, but he thinks anyone in that position would do the same thing. “Just helping another human, that’s what we’re supposed to do,” he says.
