TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: 88-Year-Old Finishes Walk “Around The World”

The Massachusetts man just hit a world-sized milestone - he logged 24-thousand, 901 miles - which is equivalent to circling the globe at the equator.

A Massachusetts man who’s been walking for dozens of years has just finished a world-sized accomplishment. Brad Hathaway’s doctor told him to be active more than three decades ago and he’s been walking three miles a day ever since.

That was 32 years ago and the 88-year-old has kept moving for his health. On one of his recent walks around town, Hathaway hit a milestone - he logged 24-thousand, 901 miles - which is equivalent to circling the globe at the equator. His friends and family joined him in that final mile to cheer him on. And now that he’s basically walked around the planet, is he slowing down? Not a chance.

“I hear a lot of people now, when they get to this stage in life, they kind of give up,” he says. “But I’m not going to give up, I’m going to keep walking as long as I can. When my time comes, that’s when I’ll stop.”
