in #CASE you missed it… Parents Still Plan To Take Kids Trick-Or-Treating

Three-quarters of parents are still planning to take their children trick-or-treating

Halloween is Saturday and there’s no doubt it will look different this year. Many parents are concerned about taking their kids trick-or-treating in the age of the coronavirus, but a new survey finds many aren’t ready to give up the practice altogether.

A new survey finds:

Three-quarters of parents are still planning to take their children trick-or-treating.

Half of parents surveyed say they feel trick-or-treating is too important to their kids for them to skip.

But while parents want their kids to feel some sort of normalcy, they still plan to take precautions.

It seems the average child will only be visiting five houses for candy this year.

33% of parents plan to only take kids to homes of people they know so they can ensure they’re healthy.

Parents also plan to speak to neighbors to ensure they tested negative for the coronavirus.

But regardless of whether folks expect trick-or-treaters, it seems most people still plan to stock up on candy for the holiday.

In fact, 83% of Americans still plan to buy candy this year.

40% will buy candy they like, because they don’t anticipate getting many trick or treaters.

38% are actually happy they won’t have to hand out the candy so they can eat it all themselves.

As for how others will spend the holiday:

45% of people say they plan to spend the holiday eating candy on their couch.

42% plan to watch non-stop Halloween-themed movies

35% plan to watch non-stop horror movies.
