TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: A mom is alive thanks to her 5 year-old daughter.

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: A Virginia mom is alive today thanks to the quick actions of her five-year-old daughter.

Lashaunastey Turberville was at home with her little girl, Dehvea Boxley, when she started to feel sick and lightheaded. She laid down and couldn’t speak and when Dehvea came to check on her, she realized something was wrong with mommy and she knew just what to do.

The kindergartener rushed to call 911 on her mother’s phone, then talked to dispatchers to let them know there was an emergency and her mom wasn’t moving. She tried to comfort her mom with a cup of water and opened the door for paramedics, who took Turberville to the hospital. It turns out, her blood sugar dropped dangerously low and she was having a hypoglycemic reaction and she’s expected to be fine.

“She really is my little hero,” the grateful mom shares. “She did what shocked me the most and at five years old, kept a calm head and wasn’t crying. I’m so proud of her.”
