TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Tot Who Beat Cancer Gets Welcome Surprise!

A three-year-old Ohio boy was treated to a celebration by the fire department after his last cancer treatment.

When three-year-old Cameron Peete finished up his last cancer treatment, he had a big surprise waiting for him. The Lorain Fire Department in Ohio was there to welcome him with a drive-by parade of fire trucks and a mini fire truck of his own.

Lorain City Council Representative Mitchell Fallis set up the homecoming celebration for him with the fleet of trucks and signs in his yard. And this little guy has a lot to be celebrating. Cameron, who has Down syndrome, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in November 2019 and has beaten cancer after a 10-month hospital stay.

“It’s just been amazing,” says Cameron’s mom, Adelaida Brown. “All of the support and encouragement.”
