TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Firewood Ministry Keeps Those In Need Warm

Thanks to a group of dedicated volunteers in Waynesville, North Carolina, folks are able to stay warm in the winter. The Firewood Ministry has been splitting logs, loading it up in trucks and delivering it to those in need for the last 15 years and Richard Reevesis the man who started it all.

In 2005, he simply delivered a truckload of wood to someone who needed it and the saws and axes have been going every year since. The group has delivered thousands of loads of firewood and the volunteers are happy to be able to pitch in and make a real difference in their community.

"When you take this to a person and you see a little old lady start to cry. You know, that keeps you going," Reeves says of his motivation. “It’s a lucky man that in his life he gets to do what the Lord wants him to do.”
