TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Beloved Taco Bell Worker Given $6K Tip

Fans of Taco Bell in South Daytona, Florida, count on one smiling face to lift their spirits when they hit the drive-thru for Bean Burritos and nachos. It’s Joe DeCicco, who’s been working there for 20 years and loves his job and the customers he meets. They fondly call him “Taco Bell Joe” and recently came together to show their support for the 70-year-old.

Members of a Facebook Foodie Group created to spotlight local restaurants and staff during the pandemic decided to vote on a favorite worker and DeCicco won by a landslide. The prize was supposed to be $50, but generous donations raised that up to more than $6-thousand and it was recently given to Taco Bell Joe.

The surprise gift blew him away and moved him to tears. “It’s my customers that I owe this to, they bring out the best in me,” Joe says. “I’m going to do my best to live up to it and light a little candle in every heart of every person that I meet.”
