Cities around the world are constantly changing to meet the needs of their residents, and it turns out some are doing a better job than others of staying innovative.
- Analysts 2thinknknow has come out with their annual list of the Most Innovative Cities in the World.
- Cities were judged on such factors as digital transformation, economic recovery, start-ups, technology, smart cities, science, engineering, creativity, mobility, and more.
- Topping the list this year is Tokyo, thanks to its strong technology application, digital capability and pandemic performance.
- The U.S. is a strong presence on the list, with 54% of the top 100 cities in the U.S.
- Boston, which topped the list last year, is the highest ranking U.S. city at two, followed by New York in third.
