If a new Harris poll is to be believed, the Delta variant is freaking out plenty of people. The poll, released Monday, shows 54-percent of Americans think the worst is still ahead of us with the pandemic. And 46-percent think the worst is behind us.
That’s a steep drop from the 70-percent who thought the light was at the end of the tunnel in the beginning of July. The news of breakthrough illnesses and the CDC pushing masking guidance again probably isn’t helping.
Looks like pandemic pessimism is back.
