Puppy Swept Away By Current Saved After Police Spot Dog's Nose Above Water

Kristin Vonclein was walking her retriever puppy on a Virginia beach, when it ran into the water and got swept away by the current. After trying to rescue the dog named Skip Jack, they called 911.

Marine Patrol officersKyle Jones and Terrie McKellips got the call. The two started searching among buoys and other obstacles, but held out little hope since the pup had been in the water for two hours.

Then they saw a brown nose sticking out of the water! They pulled the doggo into the boat. A vet checked out Skip Jack and said he was fine except for some fatigue and muscle soreness.

And thanks to his pet mom’s co-workers , Skip Jack will have a dog flotation device for next time.
