Trip To Target Saves Woman Who Suffered A Stroke

A North Dakota woman made a Target run and it may have saved her life.

Emme Aipperspach was shopping at a Target store in Bismarck when she felt faint. It turns out, she was having a stroke and employees at the retailer helped her get to the hospital.

And since her stroke happened at Target instead of at home, she got medical care quickly and hasn’t experienced most of the negative side effects associated with strokes. “Had I not gone in, I would’ve had a stroke at home by myself because I live alone,” Emme explains. “So, really, just a lot of the right pieces fell into place for me.”

Thankfully, she is bouncing back from her stroke and returned to that Target a week later, where a gift from employees was waiting for her. They put together a basket filled with things they thought she would like and gave her a hand-written note. Emme is grateful for their kindness with the thoughtful gift and even more for saving her.
