Missing Puppy Survives 100-Foot Cliff Fall

A puppy has been rescued and reunited with his owner after a 100-foot plunge off the edge of a cliff in the U.K.Rowan Boddington was walking with his labrador Rufus when the pup fell over the cliff. He frantically searched for him but was unsuccessful and assumed the worst.

But Rufus wasn’t dead! Another walker spotted the puppy stuck on the cliff face at Hope Cove Beach the next day and the Coast Guard then successfully got the dog down safely. Rufus had been out in the pouring rain and had tumbled a long way down, but as soon as he saw rescuers, his tail started to wag and they knew he was okay.

“I’m just over the moon to have him back,” Boddington says. “And I’m indebted to everyone who searched for him and helped in the rescue operation.”
