Fugitive Turns Himself In 30 Years After Prison Escape - Blames COVID

A 64-year-old fugitive walked into a police station in Sydney, Australia, to give himself up -- almost 30 years after he used a hacksaw blade and bolt cutters to escape from prison.

Darko Desic has been on the run for decades, living life as a free man when he should have been behind bars. But, it didn’t matter.

He found his breaking point. He decided to go back to prison because the coronavirus lockdown they’re dealing with in Sydney made him jobless and homeless.

So... might as well get three hots and a cot -- and stop worrying about where to get that next meal.
