Study: Talking To Strangers Can Be Good For Your Well Being

Researchers had pairs of people who didn't know each talk about superficial things, and have conversations about really deep topics. By the end of the study, researchers found that the people felt more positive about themselves and experienced a sense of connection to one another after meaningful conversations than after small talk.

The experiments showed strangers actuallylistenwhen the conversations get heavier. The study is published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology.
