Simply lifting a chair is the latest challenge taking the internet by storm.
The "Chair Challenge" went viral after videos started to highlight how easy it is for women to complete the task and how hard it is for men. Here's how it's done: Standing a few feet from a wall with a chair under you, bend over and have your head touching the wall. Next, lift the chair from the ground against your torso and stand straight up holding it.
Might sound simple, but video after video has shown men struggling while women have a much easier time. Scientist Jeremy Johnson is explaining why women are crushing it. He says that it's all to do with our center of gravity. "The center of mass for most girls is lower to the hips, while the center of mass in boys is much higher. Therefore, for most girls, the center of mass while bent over the chair is above their feet, while the center of mass for most boys is above the chair."
