There's a story on Reddit right now about a guy who saved about $35,000 for his daughter's wedding . . . but she eloped, so he used it to get a car and go on vacation. Now she's mad because she still wanted the money, even though she didn't have a wedding.
Full story: In their "Am I the A-Hole?" section of Reddit, a dad says he's not wealthy, but he worked hard to save about $35,000 for his daughter's wedding. But since she didn't have a wedding, he went ahead and used the money to finally replace his old car and take a little vacation. She's mad at him, and his ex-wife is mad too . . . but he thinks what he did was logical. No wedding, no wedding fund, right?
He said, "I never told her it was a fund for her to use on whatever. I paid for her college and planned on paying for her wedding, but beyond that, didn't plan on paying her way through life."
And the people on Reddit are DEFINITELY taking his side.
