My wife is a real wine enthusiast. The more wine she drinks, the more enthusiastic she gets and March is Taste Washington Wine month so imagine the excitement level at our house.
I say that in jest but it’s kind of true. She does love a good Merlot and she has never turned down a glass of Pinot!
Last Spring as a matter of fact we decided to make a day of it and head out to Woodinville to the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery. We packed the picnic basket with the essentials and utensils along with a big blanket and headed out.
It was truly a magnificent experience. They have all sorts of food items you can purchase on the grounds as well to go along with your meal and can even help you pair up the perfect wine to make it complete.
Once we grabbed a bottle ( or two ) we strolled the picturesque grounds and found a spot to spread out our blanket and prepare for an afternoon delight that would not disappoint.
I would encourage you to get out to the Woodinville area as there so many various tasting rooms as well that are close by.
So if it’s an afternoon at the winery, checking out the various tasting rooms, or maybe discovering a quaint and cozy wine shop nestled away in your neighborhood there are some great ways to uncork the awesomeness and Taste Washington Wine!
