in #CASE you missed it… Stereotypes About Married Couples That’re Basically True.
Like it or not, most married couples end up being kind of boring. And some will do everything they can to avoid that reality, others of us are more accepting and even come to appreciate that we have become the stereotypical married couple. Don’t have sex on the cold, hard, ceramic tile kitchen floor? Neither do most married couples you know. Here are some other clichés about the marrieds, that for better or worse, are mostly true.
Married couples don’t have sex often - Yep, it’s true. Between the kid wetting the bed at two in the morning and being tired over-tired all the time, sex isn’t the first thing on your mind. But just because you’re not sneaking off for a nooner for fear of little ones catching you in action doesn’t mean married people don’t ever do it. It’s just quality over quantity these days.
They spend their weekends at Home Depot - What used to seem beyond boring has now become something to look forward to. Married people like fixing up their homes and that requires trips to the big box construction store. Where else can you get toilet parts you need, mulch and plants, and that new kitchen light you’ve been lusting over?
Married couples hardly ever talk anymore - But this one isn’t what you think. It’s not that we don’t have anything to say, it’s that we know each other so well, we can communicate without words. You know when you’re ready to leave a party and you can shoot your hubby a look across the room and he knows it’s time to get out of here? That’s better than being chatty!
They never go out on Saturday nights - And we don’t care about what we might be missing. Our days are busy and our nights off are our downtime to relax and recharge. Why would we want to waste those trying to relive the party scene? We don’t and we’re happy about it.
